Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has launched the Goa Ujjwala Yojana, 2026, a restructured LPG financial assistance scheme aimed at reducing the cooking-fuel burden on eligible Goan households. The scheme provides eligible households with financial assistance towards the cost of three domestic LPG cylinders annually.

Under the initiative, ₹3,000 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries, ensuring that the benefit reaches households transparently and without intermediaries. Applications will be accepted offline, with prescribed forms becoming available at Panchayat Offices from September 5, 2026.

The restructured scheme expands the scope of LPG financial assistance and is aimed at providing direct household relief towards the rising cost of domestic cooking fuel.

Financial Support for Three LPG Cylinders

Under the scheme, eligible households will receive financial assistance for three LPG cylinders annually. An assistance amount of ₹3,000 will be credited directly to eligible beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

The assistance is intended to provide meaningful relief to households towards their annual cooking-fuel expenses while ensuring that government support reaches beneficiaries through a transparent payment mechanism.

Importantly, the assistance amount will be determined annually based on the prevailing average retail price of domestic LPG, allowing the scheme to remain linked to the prevailing cost of cooking gas.
