Two weeks after Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that the Goa Government would create 6,000–8,000 jobs within six months, the government issued its first recruitment notifications. A total of 100 vacancies have been announced across the education and transport sectors, marking an early step in the government’s employment push.

Goa’s employment push has moved from announcement to action, with the state government issuing its first set of recruitment notifications just two weeks after Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced plans to create 6,000 to 8,000 additional jobs within six months.
The first round offers 100 vacancies across the education and transport sectors, providing an early indication of the government’s recruitment drive ahead of the expected expansion of hiring across various departments.

The Goa Samagra Shiksha (GSS) has announced walk-in interviews for 78 teachers at the Foundational Stage. The appointments will be on a purely contractual basis until March 31, 2027, with selected candidates receiving a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹20,000.
The vacancies have been spread across 11 blocks in Goa, giving candidates opportunities across different parts of the state. The distribution is:
- Bicholim – 12
- Tiswadi – 10
- Dharbandora – 10
- Ponda – 10
- Sattari – 8
- Pernem – 6
- Bardez – 6
- Mormugao – 5
- Quepem – 4
- Canacona – 4
- Salcete – 3
Of the 78 teaching positions, 46 are unreserved, while 21 are reserved for OBC candidates, nine for Scheduled Tribes and two for Scheduled Castes.
The walk-in interview is scheduled to be held at the Directorate of Education, Alto-Porvorim, on September 4 from 9.30 am.
22 Regular Posts in Kadamba Transport
The employment drive also extends to the transport sector, with the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTCL) inviting applications for 22 regular positions.
The vacancies include 10 Traffic Controllers, four Assistant Traffic Inspectors, four Peons, three Assistant Data Entry Operators, and one Assistant Store Keeper.
Candidates applying for these posts are required to submit their applications along with the necessary supporting documents. The applications must reach the KTCL head office at Alto-Porvorim by September 11.
