Citizens Raise Civic and Administrative Issues

The ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ initiative in Curchorem received around 370 applications from citizens seeking solutions to various civic and administrative issues. During the programme, Honourable Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant asked government officials to address public grievances efficiently and ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary delays while accessing government services.

The initiative aims to bring government departments closer to citizens by providing a platform where people can raise their concerns directly with the administration. The grievances submitted at the Curchorem programme covered issues involving basic amenities, departmental services and pending administrative matters.

CM Calls for Timely Action from Officials

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant adopted a no-nonsense approach towards administrative delays, emphasising a zero-tolerance stance on unnecessary delays in public services. He stressed that citizens should not have to make repeated visits to government offices to get their work done.

He directed officials to address pending grievances promptly, improve coordination between departments and take timely action on issues related to basic amenities, public services and administrative approvals. He emphasised the need for greater accountability so that citizens receive timely assistance and their complaints do not remain unresolved unnecessarily.

Focus on Basic Amenities and Public Services

Issues related to water supply, electricity connections, departmental approvals and other public services often require coordination between different offices. Delays in addressing such matters can lead to repeated visits and additional difficulties for residents.

The programme provided citizens with an opportunity to bring these concerns to the attention of government representatives and the concerned officials.

Follow-Up Will Determine the Outcome

The Curchorem programme forms part of the government’s broader effort to facilitate direct interaction between citizens and public authorities. Such initiatives can help officials identify recurring problems, understand local requirements and improve coordination between departments.
