One App for Goa’s Water Services

The ‘PWD GOA’ app has been highlighted by Goa’s Department of Drinking Water as a single-window digital platform for accessing water-related services and raising public grievances.

The GIS-based application allows citizens to interact with the department digitally, reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices for several routine services.

According to a compliance communication submitted to the Goa Human Rights Commission, around 5,398 citizens have already been onboarded onto the platform, indicating growing adoption of the digital service.

Report Water Problems Directly

One of the key features of the app is its grievance-reporting facility. Citizens can report issues such as water supply disruptions and network leakages directly through the platform.

Users can also attach photographs and location details, helping officials identify the exact problem area and respond more efficiently.

The app further allows citizens to track the status of their complaints and receive updates, providing greater transparency in the grievance-redressal process.

More Services Under One Platform

Beyond complaints, the PWD GOA app brings several water-related services together digitally. Citizens can use the platform for:

  • New water connections
  • Supply and leakage complaints
  • Complaint tracking
  • Road-cutting permissions
  • Online payments
  • Service notifications

This makes the application a broader digital gateway for consumers interacting with Goa’s water supply system.

24×7 Helpline for Citizens

For users who require assistance, the department has also provided 24×7 helpline numbers 7030055136 and 7030055036.

To increase awareness about the platform, the department plans to distribute information flyers to consumers through meter readers, encouraging more people to use the digital services.

With thousands of citizens already onboarded, the PWD GOA app represents another step towards making essential government services more accessible, transparent, and digitally connected for people across Goa.
