Goa Government under the Labour Department has launched a new Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to digitise labour welfare services and improve worker registrations. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the system will simplify applications, reduce paperwork and improve access to welfare benefits. The platform will support both the Goa Labour Welfare Board and the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Digital Push for Labour Welfare

The Goa Government has launched an Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the Goa Labour Welfare Board and the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

The Labour Department introduced the system with support from RailTel, a Government of India public sector undertaking. The platform will bring welfare board operations, applications and records onto a single digital system.

The ERP will integrate services such as Goa Online, DigiLocker, online applications and digital payment systems. This integration will help workers access welfare services more easily while improving transparency and reducing dependence on physical paperwork.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the new system will make labour welfare operations more effective and strengthen the delivery of benefits to eligible workers.

Focus on Worker Registration

The government has identified low registration among construction workers as a key challenge affecting welfare delivery. The new digital system aims to address this gap by making registration and applications simpler.

The government has urged construction workers holding Goan cards to register with the Construction Workers Welfare Board and access the welfare schemes available to them.

The digital platform will also improve access for workers in rural areas, women workers and senior citizens by providing regular updates and greater transparency in welfare services.

Labour Welfare Scholarships Go Digital

The government is also expanding digital access to education assistance for workers’ children.

CM Sawant highlighted the Goa Scholarship Portal, where online applications for the Chief Minister’s Scholarship have increased significantly. The Labour Welfare scholarship has also been linked to the CM Scholarship App.

Eligible children of workers pursuing engineering, medicine and higher education can receive tuition assistance ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000, with higher assistance available under certain categories.

The Labour Department is also increasing awareness among private-sector workers through inspectors working across industries and factories. The government aims to ensure that eligible families know about and access the available welfare schemes.

Expanding Digital Welfare Access

The Goa Government will continue working with RailTel to increase registrations and outreach under both welfare boards.

Through the new ERP system, the government aims to make labour welfare services more accessible, transparent and efficient while encouraging more eligible workers to register and benefit from welfare schemes.
