Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took the ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ citizen service initiative to Shiroda Gram Panchayat under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, bringing government services directly to the grassroots.
The citizen service camp provided residents with on-the-spot assistance for welfare schemes, documentation and various government services, making it easier for people to access government support without visiting multiple offices.
The initiative reflected the Goa Government’s focus on people-first governance and last-mile service delivery. By bringing government departments and services closer to local communities, the camp helped residents understand and access schemes available to them.
The Shiroda programme also strengthened direct interaction between citizens and the administration. Residents could seek guidance on documentation, welfare benefits and other government services while addressing their requirements directly with officials.
Through Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the government is expanding its outreach to communities and taking governance closer to citizens. The ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ initiative forms part of this approach by bringing public services closer to people at the local level.
The Shiroda camp highlighted the government’s effort to make public services more accessible, convenient and citizen-centric, while strengthening grassroots engagement.
With such outreach programmes, the Goa Government continues to focus on taking governance to the doorstep and ensuring that citizens can access government services closer to home.
