Mapusa Police Crack Down on Crime: Two Separate Kidnapping Cases Successfully Solved

Mapusa Police Crack Two Kidnapping Cases

MAPUSA, GOA — In a major victory for law enforcement, Mapusa Police successfully tracked down and rescued four abduction victims, including two minors, across two separate interstate kidnapping operations in September 2026. Through swift action and seamless coordination with police forces in Maharashtra and Karnataka, authorities safely returned all victims to their families and placed the prime suspects in custody.

The successful rescue operations were closely supervised by senior Mapusa and North Goa police officials, alongside a dedicated team of field investigators.

Case 1: Two Young Girls Rescued from Mangalore, Karnataka

The first breakthrough followed the registration of Case No. 116/2026. On September 5, 2026, perpetrators allegedly abducted two girls, aged 22 and 17, from their residential locality in Canca, Goa, and placed them into secret confinement.

Mapusa investigators quickly established an interstate trail utilizing localized intelligence. The breakthrough came within the jurisdiction of the Kankanady Police Station in Mangalore, Karnataka, where police safely traced and secured both victims. Law enforcement officials arrested the prime accused, identified as Vakdoth, a resident of Bellary, Karnataka. Following his arrest, the court remanded the suspect to judicial custody.

Case 2: Mother and Nine-Year-Old Son Traced Safely to Solapur

The second successful operation solved Case No. 122/2026. On September 10, 2026, a 37-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son were reported missing after being allegedly abducted from Khorlim, Mapusa.

Employing rapid technical surveillance and tracking methods, North Goa police officers traced the mother and son to Akluj in Solapur, Maharashtra. Local teams rapidly secured the victims from confinement and safely handed them over to the primary complainant back in Goa.

The dual breakthroughs highlight the efficiency of the region’s current security networks and underscore the growing reliability of real-time interstate police coordination in tackling sensitive abduction crimes.
